Calling the Faeries  By Sedwin na Sidhe

Between Beltane and Midsummer's Eve, gather together St. John's Wort to guard against faerie mischief, food and/or milk. Do this outdoors, preferably near water.

Cast a circle by sprinkling St. John's Wort on the ground around you. Stay within the circle. Repeat the following:

Goddess Danu, in whose name I sing,
People of the hill and faerie ring.
May your world be open to me,
I come in peace, so mote it be.

The ethereal faeries are as curious about us as we are of them. Enjoy their energy whether or not they reveal themselves. Leave a bit of food or milk to show your gratitude.
