Wolf Moon

The Wolf Moon broke the North
Before time examined space through sound
Before light defined the essence of her breath
Before the pulse of Night and Day became the rhythm of her heart.

The Wolf Moon ravaged the silence
With the Great White Teeth of destiny
That hung in the blackness
Like spirit ice on the barren branches of Winter.
The Wolf Moon dismantled the dark
Like a luminous predator of empty design
Moving through the cold on celestial pads
She embarked unimpassioned.

The Wolf Moon trod the noble path
Leaving not the footprint of her intent
In absence of evidence, the Star Children
Would seek and soul memory reveal

The eternal map to Spring.
